This or That Book Tag:

Hello! Today I am back with another book tag. Thanks so much to Giovanna @ Book coma blog for tagging me!

The rules:

  • Mention the creator of the tag (Ayunda @ Tea and Paperbacks).
  • Thank the blogger who tagged you!
  • Choose one of the options, you don’t have to tell the reasons why you chose that but you can also do them if you want to.
  • Tag 10 other people to do this tag to spread the love!

The questions :

1- Reading on the couch or on the bed?

Definitely on my bed.

2- Male main character or female main character?

Probably female, but just because I can often relate better to a female character than a male.

3- Sweet snacks or salty snacks when reading?

Hmm… I usually don’t eat while reading, although if I did I think I would pick something salty.

4- Trilogies or quartets?

I haven’t read that many quartets so I think I’ll go with trilogies.

5- First person point of view or third person point of view?

First point of view. I feel like you come closer to the main character that way.

6- Reading at night or in the morning?

NIGHT! I am not a morning person so I like to sleep as long as possible in the morning. I also love being up at night so it’s way better for me to read at night.

7- Libraries or bookstores?

Honestly I don’t know. I loan a lot of books from the library but I love owning books too.

8- Books that make you laugh or make you cry?

I think I’ll pick books that makes me cry. Now don’t get me wrong, I love books that makes me laugh because who doesn’t love being happy? But books that makes you cry usually leaves a bigger mark than one that makes you laugh.

9- Black book covers or white book covers?

Black, since they are more difficult to stain.

10- Character driven or plot driven stories?

Plot driven stories.

I tag…

Bad Girls Don’t Die Review:

Title: Bad Girls Don’t Die

Author: Katie Alender

Series: Bad Girls Don’t Die #1

Pages: 346

Published: April 21st 2016

My rating:

one starone starone starone starone star

My review(spoiler free): Alexis Warren is a normal teenager, well except for her pink hair, always being cast as a “misfit” and not getting along with the cheerleaders (for various reasons). She’s also completely in love with photography or more specific shooting film. Although she’s not as obsessed with her photography as her little sister Kasey is with dolls. At first Alexis don’t think that much about it, because Alexis is herself a bit weird so why judge Kasey? But Kasey just keeps getting weirder and weirder until Alexis no longer can ignore it, but she has no idea what to do about it.

Now just to my opinions. I find everyone in the book interesting (but I will just mention quick that this was a reread for me so I don’t know how much it affects my opinions now). All the characters have background stories and they all have some flaws which I find is important to make a character more “real”. Of course we get most information about Alexis since she’s the main character but I still feel like you get a vision of the side characters.

I just have to say that I love the way Katie Alender are mixing normal, daily teenage life problems with humor and scary scenes. Her writing is fantastic and the way her stories always intertwine in the end is wonderful. I will have to share some of my favorite quotes from this book too, they’re not spoilers either so you can be calm.

“That’s the pathetic thing about high school. Everyone tries so hard to be something they aren’t. It’s gotten so I don’t know who I am, so how can I even try to be who I am, much less who I’m not?So with this said, I love this book.”

“I’m a giant pimple on the face of humanity.”

“Apparently when it’s two people, it’s quirky and funny, but when it’s a person doing the same stuff on her own, it’s rebellious and antisocial.”

Here’s the official book trailer and can I just say, I absolutely love the Bad Girls Don’t Die trilogy’s trailers especially after reading the books. They are brilliant.
