Proof of Forever Review

Mini Review:

Proof of Forever by Lexa Hillyer

Rating: 5/5

This book was another great surprise. I’m surprised that lots of people haven’t heard of it and the ratings for the books are very mixed. I recommend it.

Main Characters: Joy, Zoe, Tali, Luce, Andrew, Ryder, Ellis, Cruz

Characters: 8/10

-loved the relationships between the four main characters

-all of the boyfriends of the girls were very underdeveloped

Writing: 7/10

-simple writing

-nothing out of the ordinary

Plot: 8/10

-interesting time travel aspect

-could’ve explained how time travel was possible more in depth

Enjoyability: 9/10

-couldn’t put it down

-such a fun read

Fun Fact: The author of this book, Lexa Hillyer, is also a critically acclaimed poet!

Oh, wow, interesting. I knew Lexa Hillyer was a big-time editor at Harper Collins and Penguin Books, but I didn’t know she was a poet too. Multi-talented lady! I’m a sucker for time slip stories so read this one a while back. I agree that the writing was pretty straightforward, nothing fancy, which is fine. The characters were well wrought, too, but, I don’t know, the story somehow lacked substance for me. Maybe it’s that I’m used to reading upper YA and this was probably geared toward the younger age group of YA.
